Saxtemberfest: Guest Artist Recital - Josh Quinlan
A part of the annual Saxtemberfest series of events. Learn more about all of the School of Music's Feature Days, including Saxtemberfest. Josh Quinlan is a U.S. born saxophonist, composer, and educator who lives in Heredia, Costa Rica where he is professor of saxophone at the National University of Costa Rica (La Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica). He is a graduate of the University of Colorado (DMA in jazz studies), DePaul University (MMA), and the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music (BM). Dr. Quinlan has released four albums as a leader, saxophonist and composer (In From Somewhere, Mountain Time Standards, Open Space, and Hear, Here). He has toured throughout the world with performances and teaching in Asia, South America, Central America, Europe, the United States, and Australia. In addition, he is an endorsing artist of P. Mauriat saxophones, Bari Woodwind saxophone mouthpieces, Gonzalez Reeds, and Tomasi flutes.

This event is free and open to the public.
Parking is available in the McKinley Parking Garage (entrance on Ashland Avenue) located immediately south of Sursa Hall. This garage is free on weekends and after 7 p.m. on weekdays.
