Session 2: Opioids and Access Dr. Krista Brucker, Director, Project POINT, Eskenazi Hospital, and Department of Emergency Medicine, IU School of Medicine Gloria Haynes, Eskenazi Emergency Department's first Peer Recovery Coach Project POINT has helped hundreds of Hoosiers with substance use disorder maintain HIP-Plus eligibility and connect to an array of treatment and social services supporting holistic health.  This session will discuss the challenges of health and health care access for this population and the role of recovery coaches, wrap-around services, and HIP as key supports. -Free and open to the public; registration not required Series description:  Since 2015, several hundred thousand Hoosiers have gained health coverage through the expanded Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP). This six-part series asks: How are HIP's values of personal responsibility, wellness, and empowerment working for members, providers, and our state? How can congregations, providers, and nonprofits improve HIP's operations through their values of community responsibility, neighborly outreach, social advocacy, and excellent care? Future Sessions: Session 3: Health, Wellness, and Engaged Congregations ( May 8, 2019) Session 4: End-of-Life Care and HIP (August 2019) Session 5: Health Equity and HIP Congregations (September 16, 2019) Session 6: Investing in HIP for Health Equity, Responsibility, and Community (October 2019)
