Distinguished Speakers - Photojournalism and World Affairs
Since 1955 the Indiana Council of World Affairs’s Distinguished Speaker Series has brought some of the world’s best minds to Indianapolis for a dinner presentation to discuss international topics of interest. Our events are open to anyone with an interest in international topics - ICWA members and non-members. Event date: Thursday, May 16 Speaker: Steven Raymer, former Indiana University Media School - Journalism and National Geographic Magazine staff photographer and editor Topic: Photojournalism and World Affairs Overview: Raymer is author and photographer of Somewhere West of Lonely, My Life In Pictures, a visual memoir published in April 2018 by Indiana University Press. He will talk about the documentation of world affairs through photo-journalism. We hope you can join us for this engaging event. 5:30 - Reception 6:15 - Dinner 7:00 - Talk Please make dinner reservations by Sunday, May 12 to allow the kitchen to prepare meals. ICWA Membership has its privileges. Members receive discounts on tickets.
