Brewer & Associates Workshop Series: Fundraising on a $hoestring Budget
A large majority of America’s nonprofit organizations are small. They are not typically newsworthy, are volunteer-driven and have a very small staff, but studies show these small organizations are having the greatest impact in societal challenges. Research teaches us that fundraising is influenced by an organization’s history, the strategies it uses and the volunteers an organization can mobilize to help. Fundraising for smaller organizations (less than $3M budgets) often don’t know where to start, start with only one fundraising strategy or the wrong strategy and do not have a clue how to strategically build a successful fundraising program. With a little imagination and realistic use of resources, an organization can tailor a plan that fits its capacity. Fundraising on a $hoestring Budget is an interactive workshop that provides best practices fundraising strategies for smaller organizations with limited capacity, provides tools, resources and strategies how to communicate your mission to your stakeholders and how to build deeper relationships with donors and how to engage volunteers.
