Artist-led Workshop: Experimental Cyanotype with Casey Roberts
Learn more about the cyanotype printing process with Indianapolis-based artist, Casey Roberts. This two-day workshop will explore themes of landscape and environment, while gaining a better understanding of how to push materials, ideas and techniques. Roberts will conduct informal demonstrations and provide hands-on assistance, allowing each participant to make their own cyanotype work of art. The workshop will include a field trip to Mill Race Park to gather materials for inspiration. The Columbus Area Arts Council will also host a complimentary Meet the Artist Reception on Thursday, June 21 from 5:30 - 7 pm pm at IUCA+D Columbus, 310 Jackson St. The reception will include an artist talk with Casey Roberts, a brief Q and A session and light bites. No previous experience necessary. Lunch and non-toxic materials will be provided. Must be 16 years of age or older to participate. For more information, please visit www.artsincolumbus.org. This program is made possible by a grant from the Efroymson Family Fund, a fund of Central Indiana Community Foundation.
