2018 IU Health Indy Criterium Bicycle Festival

Please join us on Saturday, July 14, 2018 for the 9th annual IU Health Indy Criterium Bicycle Festival!  The IU Health Indy Criterium is more than just a cycling race. It is a celebration of all things bicycling in our community! Families and bicyclists will enjoy many of the activities taking place throughout the day, including: Amateur and professional bicycle racing Junior's bike races (age 9-18) VIP/Celebrity Relay Race p/b The National Bank of Indianapolis PNC Kids Zone p/b Riley Children's Health and the CIBA Foundation - Check out our PNC Kids Zone page for a full list of activities!  Featuring games, activities, rock wall, obstacle courses, mini-tennis, and bounce house 300 helmets being distributed to kids throughout the day thanks to the generosity of the CIBA Foundation PNC Kids Bike Races (age 3-9) CIBA Indy Crit Kick-Off Ride hosted by Team Nebo Ridge (14/35/52 mile route options) PNC Family Ride (4.5 miles)​ HandleBar Indy Pedal Pub Tour & Race Cultural Trail Tour on Pacers Bikeshare Bicycles Sun King Beer Garden & Food Trucks Vendor Village Free, secure bike parking Proceeds from the IU Health Indy Criterium benefit Freewheelin’ Community Bikes, a local non-profit committed to enhancing life skills for community youth through bicycles. Since 2010, the Indy Criterium has raised over $143,000 to support Freewheelin’ Community Bikes Earn-A-Bike program and other local charities.  For more information on this free community festival, please visit: www.indycrit.org For more information on our rides and festival activities, please visit the specific pages of our website. Check out our full Schedule of Events here!  FAQs Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?  No, this is a FREE community event open to people of all ages. Only those individuals age 21 and over will be subject to an ID check if purchasing wine or beer.   What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?  Bicycling to the event is highly encouraged! Complimentary bicycle parking is available all day onsite at the IndyCog Pedal & Park, located near the corner of Meridian and E. Ohio (lawn of the Birch Bayh Federal Building). For those who prefer four wheels, free event parking is graciously provided by our friends at REI Central Park (301 N. Illinois St.) from 7:00AM-8:00PM. Will there be food available for purchase at the event?  Yes, we will have a variety of food options available at our food trucks located on Monument Circle.  What can I bring into the event?  Your bicycle, family, friends, etc! Food, beer and wine are sold at the festival but no alcohol is permitted into or out of the event.  How can I contact the organizer with any questions?  Please email us at info@indycrit.org.  Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?  Yes, you may bring a printed ticket OR simply pull up your registration confirmation on your smart phone and we can check you in. If purchasing a t-shirt, your printed ticket will serve as your receipt and you may pick up your t-shirt onsite at the event. What if I need to cancel my ticket for the Handlebar Indy Tour?  Tours for the HandleBar are non-refundable but you may sell or transfer your tickets to another buyer.  What if I need to cancel my ticket for the Cultural Trail Tour?  If you cancel your tour 14 or more days in advance of the event, you can have your payment refunded. If you choose the refund option, a $5 fee will be subtracted to cover credit card and software booking fees. Cancellations less than 14 days out will not receive a refund or rain check.
